Every observation, every photo, every audio capture signs into Chronicle on your Pi or laptop. Timestamps from GPS; nothing depends on a server connection.
Witness pulls last week's observations at this transect to compare against today's.

End of season:

Maths runs population estimates (Lincoln-Petersen, jolly-Seber) with signed receipts.

04 · What you keep that a cloud platform can't give you

Honest about what's not included: The bundle does not provide a species reference database, taxonomy feed, or biodiversity portal (iNaturalist, eBird, GBIF).
