What a year on Solomon looks like

Scene 01

Live market awareness, on your hardware

Solomon aggregates the venues you actually trade into one feed. Every tick is written into your signed history the moment it arrives. Bring your own API keys to the exchanges and data providers you already use; Solomon composes the feed on your hardware.

BTC-USD · Coinbase
last update: 14:32:08.473 · venue keys: 3 active
14:32:08.47395,127.500.482signed · row 1,247,892
14:32:08.29195,124.000.106signed · row 1,247,891
14:32:08.11495,128.250.219signed · row 1,247,890
14:32:07.97895,122.000.041signed · row 1,247,889
14:32:07.81295,131.750.378signed · row 1,247,888
Each tick row carries a signed citation. Three years from now you can ask "what was the bid-ask spread when I opened my position?" and the answer is not a query against someone else's database — it's a query against your own signed history.
Scene 02

Capture the WHY at the moment you capture the WHERE

When you take a position — or decide deliberately not to — Solomon asks you to record both halves of the decision. The four quadrants make space for the position no other tool records: the one you took on purpose, knowing it might cost you, because something other than return matters to you here.

Position · AAPL · opened 14:31
size: 50 shares @ $221.40
Win + Where
I expect this to make money.
Win + Why
Because of services growth.
Lose + Where
I'll take losses here by choice.
Lose + Why
Reason for accepting the risk.
YOUR REASON
I believe in what this company has built and what it has historically stood for. Even if the broader market punishes them this quarter, I'm willing to hold through it. The return isn't the whole reason I'm here.

Every existing tool records the trade. Solomon records the trade and the reason. At year-end, when you review the position, you can tell yourself the truth about whether this was a directed loss (you knew what you were doing and accepted it) or a position you wish you'd handled differently. Two outcomes that look identical in a brokerage statement look completely different here.
Scene 03

Year-end conscience review

At the end of the year, ask Solomon to surface every position where you intentionally accepted loss-risk because you believed in something. Or every position you sat out of by conscience. Or every conviction position that matched your stated values and how it turned out. These queries are not possible in any other tool because no other tool records the WHY.

DIRECTED LOSSES TAKEN
11 positions
Positions where you marked Lose + Where + Why on entry.
VALUES REFUSALS
23 positions
Positions you skipped where you marked your reason for not taking them.
CONVICTION HELD
31 positions
Win + Where + Why positions held to your stated thesis.

XOM Values refusalSkipped on conscience grounds. Stated reason: long-term externalities I'm not comfortable funding. marked Feb 21
What did you choose, and what did you regret? No other tool can separate the answer to that question from the trade log. Solomon can, because Solomon kept the second half of every decision.
